This modded Minecraft SMP had a real election with candidates and campaign promises, property tax and income tax, a town treasury, insurance you buy from the mayor, a sheriff with search warrants, DNA forensics that can tell you who placed a block, and consequences for anyone who fell behind. Miss your taxes and your base starts crumbling around you. Then on the final night the server flips to hardcore Minecraft, the laws stop applying, and everyone finds out what we knew from day one: every single player secretly drew a name at the start, and one of them drew mine.
