The Pink Panther 4K UHD Collection Kino Lorber: Buyer Beware

In this video I discuss the notable flaws in the new Kino Lorber 4K UHD releases of the iconic Pink Panther series. MGM has finally made new 4K masters of the films which have longstanding and sadly continuing preservation issues that have plagued past releases. Particularly in the audio which has had a variety of problems, continues to do so and now has NEW problems in the brand new UHD releases. Kino has released only the five main series films individually and teases a possible boxset later. They also have dismissed the final compilation film and as expected been completely dismissive of fans pointing out the various transfer and audio issues. Your best bet is to wait for the upcoming UK releases from 88 Films who have teased they will be doing the Panther series, presumably from the new MGM 4K masters but hopefully with better audio. Unfortunately Kino will likely never change their practices as the Saturn awards just recently gave them an award for this still as of yet incomplete...
