The 1983 film Nana was based on the story written in 1880 by Emile Zola (Émile Édouard Charles Antoine Zola). It was story number 9 of a 20 story series written by Emile Zola. This film is also known as "Nana, the True Key of Pleasure." This is a remake of the 1955 film with the same name. In this 1983 version actress Katya Berger plays the main character Nana. This version was filmed in Italy and the story takes place in France during the 1880s. There is nudity and sexual content in this film yet i do not consider it to be a porn film. I consider this film to be part of erotica because the nudity is used in artistic ways and is meant to be part of novelty and not offensive or shocking like in porn. In my opinion both Italian and French vintage cinema is very special and both are quickly becoming my own personal favorite films to collect in the physical format. 1880s France was a very special time and this film did a wonderful job capturing that era.
