The 1987 MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie isn’t an adaptation of the popular cartoon. But I would argue that it’s not even about He-Man at all. It’s about Julie and Kevin. And money. Did you know about the He-Man mini-comics? They’re super different from the cartoon, but the 80s cartoon is iconic. It’s definitely what we think of when we think about He-Man. I filmed this a year ago, so there wasn’t a ton of information out yet about the new 2026 MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie. And that looks like… it’s also doing its own thing. By the way, it's super weird how a lot of the information about the original MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE sequel has disappeared from the internet over the past year.
